PRESENTATION
Under the High Patronage of H.E. Professor Faustin-Archange Touadéra, President of the Central African Republic, and under the aegis of the African Institute for Applied Multidisciplinary Research (IARPA), this call for applications aims to identify and support the most ambitious research projects capable of transforming African ingenuity into concrete solutions for the challenges of the 21st century.
This prize is intended for teacher-researchers, researchers and doctoral students from higher education and research institutions within the African Union area.
Target
Young researchers with at least 3 years of research experience, aged Maximum age 45 at the closing date.
Condition of diversity
Projects must be led by a multidisciplinary team including at least 30 % de mixité (women/men). This condition applies to all team members. including doctoral students and established researchers.
Unifying character
Collaboration between researchers from several African countries is strongly encouraged.
Presentation video (3 min)
MP4 format. Project summary: context, objectives and expected impacts.
Executive summary (1 page)
Title, methodology, expected results and identification of the coordinator.
Detailed description (7 pages max.)
Justification, conceptual framework, methodology, timeline and provisional budget.
Information sheet
CV of the scientific coordinator (3 pages max.) and complete list of team members.
Letter of commitment
Signed by the research unit coordinator or the head of the institution.
Identity document
Copy of the coordinator's passport or national identity card (for age verification).

Announcement of the preliminary selections
The list of shortlisted projects will be published on 15 août 2026.
Criteria
Originality, methodological rigor, technical feasibility and socio-economic impact.
Sélection
Eligibility audit, "double-blind" evaluation, then final Grand Oral in Bangui.
Support
The travel and accommodation costs for the finalists selected for the Grand Oral in Bangui are fully supported by IARPA.
Winners
The jury will choose five (5) winners in total (one per priority area).
Awards
Research grant, integration into the Circle of Presidential Prize Laureates and 12 months of strategic support.
Property
Candidates retain full intellectual property rights to their work.
